The Language Learning Gateway ( Matching activity)

It is an interactive game designed for teams to tackle the challenge of matching real classroom scenarios with the requirements for effective language learning services, based on the ISO 29991 standard.  

Objective: Teams must match real classroom scenarios with the corresponding requirements for effective language learning services requirements for effective language learning services. 

Game Dynamics:

In The Language Learning Gateway, teams must match real classroom scenarios with the corresponding requirements for effective language learning services based on ISO 29991. Using flashcards with situations like "A student needs to improve their oral fluency for job interviews" or "A beginner struggles with phonetics," teams search for the matching requirements. The first team to correctly pair all scenarios will receive 5 wooden popsicles as a reward. Teams accumulate popsicles throughout all the stations, and the team with the most popsicles at the end of the game will win a prize.

Roles of Participants:

• Students (Participants): Students work in teams to analyze and match the real classroom scenarios with the corresponding requirements for effective language learning services based on ISO 29991. They collaborate to find the correct matches and earn popsicles for their team.

Roles of Teachers:

• Teachers (Facilitators): Teachers provide the flashcards and materials for the game, monitor the teams' progress, and ensure the correct matches between scenarios and requirements. They also oversee the game, award popsicles for correct answers, and keep track of the teams' accumulated popsicles.

Example Scenarios and Requirements:

1. Scenario: A group of beginner students struggles with phonetics and basic pronunciation, such as saying "hello" and "thank you."

- Requirement: Determination of learning needs.

2. Scenario: A corporate client wants its employees to improve their business English writing skills for emails and presentations.

- Requirement: Teachers designated by the language learning service provider.

Interactive Element:

This station adds an exploratory and decision-making component, encouraging teamwork and the practical application of ISO 29991 knowledge in real-world scenarios.
